Moore Island is an island in the northern section of George VI Sound off the Rymill Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the largest of the rhyolite islands and is located in the western part of this group.

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1977 after Donald Moore, laboratory manager of the Palmer station in the Antarctic winter of 1968 and in the summer months between 1968 and 1969.
