Ri Myong-dok (born February 1, 1984 ) is a North Korean soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Ri appears internationally as a player in the Pyongyang sports group , with which he probably won the national championship several times.

For the North Korean national team he came to several appearances in 2003 during qualification for the 2004 Asian Cup and was also part of the King's Cup in Thailand in the same year. Between 2004 and 2005 Ri sat in several games of the 2006 World Cup qualifying as a substitute keeper for Sim Sung-chol and Kim Myong-gil on the reserve bench. In 2005 he took part as a substitute goalkeeper behind Kim Myong-gil in the final round of the East Asian Cup 2005 , in which North Korea finished third. In 2006 he was part of the North Korean U-23 squad at the Asian Games , but remained behind Kim Myong-gil in the course of the tournament.
