Ria Schindler
Ria Schindler (born May 1, 1953 in Mediasch , Transylvania , Romania ) is a German theater and television actress of Transylvanian-Saxon descent.
Life
Ria Schindler emigrated from Romania at the age of nineteen as part of the German minority. Schindler completed her acting training at a private school in Munich. She also studied Romance languages and English. She has appeared on the theater stages in Stuttgart, Munich, Kaiserslautern and Hanover, among others.
Ria Schindler became known to a wide audience through the role of Vera Schildknecht in the television series Lindenstrasse . Schindler played the role from episode 119 (first broadcast: March 13, 1988) to episode 229 (first broadcast: April 22, 1990).
After Lindenstrasse, Schindler returned to the theater and appeared in 1990 at the Theater am Holstenwall in Avery Hopwood's Der Mustergatte . In 2008 she played a role in Antigone by Sophocles at the Ernst Deutsch Theater .
Ria Schindler was married to actor Marcel Werner , son of Hanns Lothar and stepson of actor Hansjörg Felmy , until Werner's death in June 1986.
