Hanns Lothar

Hanns Lothar (born April 10, 1929 as Hans Lothar Neutze in Hanover , † March 11, 1967 in Hamburg ) was a German actor . He was an extremely popular theater, film, and television actor in the 1950s and 1960s.

Hanns Lothar, son of the legal secretary Johann Neutze and his wife Else Neutze, b. Radke, was the brother of the actors Günther Neutze and Horst Michael Neutze . 1964 joined the three brothers in the crime police station Davidwache of Jürgen Roland on together. Two years later, all three of the best by Harald Vock could also be heard in the detective radio play Reiche Leichen sind .

As the eponymous steadfast tin soldier , Lothar made his first stage appearance in 1942. He took acting lessons from Max Gaede and in 1947 received an engagement at the Städtische Bühnen Hannover . In 1951 he went to the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt , 1954/55 to the Landestheater Hannover . From 1955 to 1962 he was part of the ensemble of the Thalia Theater in Hamburg while Willy Maertens was director .

Lothar made his first film Paths in Twilight in 1948 under the director and actor Werner Hesse . In Alfred Wickerman film adaptation of Thomas Mann's Buddenbrooks he played in 1959 the Christian Buddenbrooks.

In 1960 he played next to his wife Ingrid Andree and next to Therese Giehse and Peter Lühr in the film adaptation of Bruno Frank's comedy Sturm im Wasserglas . Lothar's best-known film is the East-West satire Eins, Zwei, Drei, made shortly before the Wall was built in 1961 . In Billy Wilder's film with Schlemmer, he played the Prussian correct secretary of the director of the Coca-Cola branch in West Berlin, portrayed by James Cagney , who was still arrested by the National Socialist drill . In 1964, Lothar was seen as a former fighter pilot in the television film Flight in Danger, alongside Benno Sterzenbach and his brother Günther Neutze in a leading role. He also appeared in numerous television games.

Hanns Lothar was married to actress Kari Noller from 1950 to 1954 and to actress Ingrid Andree from December 31, 1959 to June 25, 1965 . His second marriage was the actress Susanne Lothar (1960–2012). The actor Marcel Werner (1952-1986) emerged from a relationship with the actress Elfriede Rückert (1918–2016) . Almost a year before his death, Lothar married the Lübeck secretary Gabriele Wiemer in July 1966.

Hanns Lothar died of renal colic in 1967 at the age of only 37 . His grave is in Hamburg on the Ohlsdorf cemetery , grid square AC 11 (near Stiller Weg and Riedemann mausoleum).
