Max Gaede (actor)
Max Gaede (* circa 1882 in Berlin ; † October 1969 ) was a German actor who mainly worked in Hanover and was a director .
Life
Max Gaede was the father of the actor Heinz Ulrich (around 1917–1973) , who was presumably born in Hanover at the time of the German Empire and in the middle of the First World War .
Towards the end of the Weimar Republic , Gaede was in correspondence with HWH Schridde from Utrecht regarding the Comité van voorbereiding de Tournée der Städtische Bühnen Hannover ' for January 13, 1933.
At the time of National Socialism , Max Gaede from the Hanoverian Schauspielhaus was considered the "[...] darling of the theater audience" in Hanover. When in 1938 the population was called to a “ referendum ” on the annexation of Austria to the German Reich by means of an oversized propaganda poster with the title “ Ein Volk ein Reich ein Führer ” displayed in front of the Hanoverian Opera House , Max Gaede published it in the Hannoversche Anzeiger on April 10th In 1938 under a portrait photo of himself the following lines:
" Passed Versailles - the Rhineland free,
the Wehrmacht big - loose the chains
And all around work everywhere
A cry roars like thunder
as the world has never seen it.
Only a yes to the Führer! Yes! Yes!"
Handwritten correspondence from Gaede from the time of the Federal Republic of Germany has been preserved in various archives and collections , including to Heinz Lauenroth , Heinz Dietrich Kenter and Martin G. Sarneck . In 1956 Gaede lived in Hanover at Altenbekener Damm 53 .
In 1969 Max Gaede played a supporting role in Peter Zadek's film Ich bin ein Elefant, Madame .
