Ricardo Cruz Verde

Ricardo Cruz Verde is a former Mexican soccer player who, at the beginning of his career, primarily acted as a striker and was later also used in midfield .

Life

Cruz Verde began his active career at Club Deportivo Guadalajara , with whom he won the Mexican football championship in the 1986/87 season and achieved the total of ninth championship title of Club Deportivo Guadalajara . While he only made four appearances in the 1986/87 championship season (and scored one goal), he increased to seven appearances (no goal) in the 1987/88 season and ten appearances (three goals) in the following two seasons. in the 1988/89 season .

In 1989 he moved to Santos Laguna , where he was unable to assert himself. After the 1989/90 season he briefly returned to CD Guadalajara, where he was also unable to gain a foothold. Therefore, he switched to CD Irapuato soon after , with which he was relegated to the second-rate Segunda División at the end of the 1990/91 season. Because he did not want to play in the second division , he left the Freseros again. After he did not receive a first division contract, Cruz Verde signed with second division club CF Pachuca , where he spent the 1991/92 season, at the end of which the Tuzos managed to return to the top division after almost 20 years of abstinence.
