The Rich Metals Group is a Georgian mining company , and with its two companies JSC RMG Copper (short RMG Copper ) and RMG Gold LTD (briefly RMG Gold largest) copper - gold - and silver producer in the country. It operates several mines near Bolnissi in the Niederkartlien region .
The ultimate owners are unknown.
history
RMG gold
The Georgian- Australian joint venture Kvartsiti Joint Enterprise was founded in 1994. Preparatory prospections were carried out until 1996, and the first gold was melted in early April 1997. In 2005, JSC Madneuli Georgia and GeoProMining then entered into the joint venture with the same participation. In June 2012 it was transferred to RMG.
RMG Copper
In 1975 the Madneuli processing plant started operations. In 1994 it was transferred to JSC Madneuli and was then owned by the Georgian state. In 2005 shares were sold to the Stanton Equities Corporation . In 2012, JSC Madneuli was then transferred to RMG.
