The Richard-Hartmann-Halle is a four-field sports hall in the Saxon city ​​of Chemnitz . It was created according to the plans of the architectural office of Prof. Bremmer · Lorenz · Frielinghaus and is located opposite the Chemnitz market hall on Fabrikstrasse. Its name is reminiscent of the Chemnitz machine manufacturer Richard Hartmann , whose locomotive factory was located on the premises of the hall. The sports hall, which was inaugurated in July 2002, offers space for various sports and competitions on an area of ​​5250 m². Since the hall has two levels , the total area is 8111 m². It offers a total of 2000 seats, including 900 on the telescopic grandstands.

The hall is used by sports clubs and for school sports. The basketball club Niners Chemnitz has played in the hall since 2002 and moved to the larger Chemnitz Arena with 5200 seats for the 2019/20 season .
