Richard Baumlin

Richard Bäumlin (born September 9, 1927 in Bern ) is a former Swiss legal scholar and politician ( SP ).

Life

Bäumlin studied law at the Universities of Bern and Göttingen . In 1954 he received his doctorate and obtained the Bern advocacy patent . In 1957 he became a private lecturer , in 1960 an associate professor. From 1963 to 1992 he taught as a full professor of Heads of State and Administrative Law , Canon Law and Bernese history of law and social philosophy at the University of Bern. Bäumlin also published on questions of German constitutional history . In 1992, on his 65th birthday, the festschrift Zentrum und Peripherie, dedicated to him, was published . Connections - fragmentation - new approaches .

From 1979 to 1989 he represented the SP in the National Council . He was a member of the Foreign Policy Commission, the Petitions and Warranty Commission and the Commission for Science and Research.
