Richard Benyon

Richard Benyon (born October 21, 1960 in Reading , Berkshire ) is a British politician of the Conservative Party .

Life

Benyon attended Bradfield College and graduated from the Royal Agricultural University . He trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was employed in the British Army. Benyon has been a MP in the British House of Commons since 2005. On September 4, 2019, Benyon was expelled from the Conservative Party group because of his parliamentary opposition to a Brexit without an EU exit agreement. He then announced that he would not run again in the upcoming general election.

Benyon was first married to Emma Villiers and is second married to Zoe Robinson and has five children. He lives with his family at Englefield House.
