Richard Dilger

Richard Dilger (born September 17, 1887 in Überlingen , † 1973 in Allensbach ) was a German landscape painter .

Life

Dilger studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe . Later study trips took him to France and Switzerland . After the First World War he had a studio in Karlsruhe. In the summer he often lived in Allensbach. In 1942 he settled permanently in Allensbach because of the bombing of the big cities.

His subjects were still life, portraits and landscape painting. The Bodensee with Allensbach , Insel Reichenau , Konstanz and Meersburg was a frequent motif. His pictures are listed in auctions.
