Richard Drakeford
Richard Drakeford (born November 5, 1936 , † November 12, 2009 ) was a British composer of classical music .
Life
Drakeford was a student of composition with Herbert Howells and Edmund Rubbra and studied at Worcester College , Oxford.
From 1961 to 1985 he taught music at Harrow School .
He was a co-founder of the Little Missenden Festival, where he worked as a musical advisor until his death. From 1995 onwards, he reported at irregular intervals for the British magazine The Musical Times from the International Handel Festival in Göttingen.
