Richard Franke

Richard Franke (born October 15, 1860 in Quaschwitz ; † November 6, 1927 there ) was a German politician (DDP).

After attending the village school, Franke worked as a carpenter. Later he was trained as a farmer on his father's farm. Around 1890 he took over his father's estate.

In 1910 Franke was elected as a candidate for the Progressive People's Party in the Weimar state parliament, in which he represented the Neustadt constituency.

From January 1919 to June 1920 Franke sat as a member of the German Democratic Party (DDP) with a mandate for constituency 56 (Thuringia) in the Weimar National Assembly .
