The Richard J. Daley Center is a skyscraper in the US city ​​of Chicago . The 32-storey high-rise office building is 197.5 meters high. The building is owned by the Public Building Commission of Cook County and the City of Chicago.

After it was completed in 1965 after three years of construction, it was the tallest building in Chicago for four years. However, it was replaced in 1969 by the John Hancock Center , which is significantly higher at 344 meters (including antenna even 457 meters, 100 floors).

The building was named after the long-time Chicago mayor Richard J. Daley (1902-1976). The address is 55 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL .
