Richard KH Burkart

Richard KH Burkart (* 1950 in Memmingen ) is a German visual artist from Berlin.

Life

He grew up in Erkheim / Bavaria, moved to West Berlin in 1968 and studied from 1973 to 1980 at the University of Fine Arts . There he became a master student of Fred Thieler , the old master of Informel . At the same time he was studying German. In addition, he had a formative employment relationship at the legendary Schaubühne Theater on Halleschen Ufer , including as a stage painter. In connection with biographical experiences - family socialization, boarding school / home stays, political hippie times , autodidactic cultural studies studies - he developed an aesthetic symbiosis of word, motif and idea in pictorial and plastic works in various techniques and materials.

His works are represented in numerous libraries, museums and other institutions. He is especially known for donating art to various institutions.
