Richard Quest (2007)

Richard Quest (born March 9, 1962 in Liverpool ) is a British news presenter with CNN International .

Before Quest began an internship in the BBC's newsroom in 1985 , he studied law with moderate enthusiasm. Since 2001 he has worked as a stock market reporter and news anchor at CNN . With his monthly program Business Traveler he has become one of the most popular anchormen on the news channel and gives humorous tips for business travelers. Another monthly broadcast with Richard Quest on CNN International was Quest (until 2008). His trademark is, among other things, his distinctive "grappling" voice. He turned down a job offer from the English-speaking Arab broadcaster Al-Jazeera because he felt out of place there as a Jew and homosexual. On April 19, 2008, he was arrested in Central Park with a small amount of crystal meth and returned to work for CNN after a court-imposed drug consultation. In addition to Business Traveler , Richard Quest has moderated the weekday business program Quest Means Business since the beginning of 2009 , although he is often represented by colleagues because, like most CNN presenters, he also works as a foreign correspondent. Due to his two formats, he is considered an expert on the aviation industry and stock market events at CNN and is regularly available as an interview partner in other formats for current events.

Richard Quest has looked into the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 . He conducted many interviews on the subject in his broadcasts and also published a book about it.
