Richard Weigand

Richard Weigand (born November 30, 1904 in Deidesheim , † October 17, 1981 ) was a German educator .

Life

Weigand was professor for general didactics and school studies and at the same time director at the Pedagogical Academy Trier, later rector of the Pedagogical University Trier.

He was considered an expert on the life and work of Ernst Moritz Arndt .

In 1963 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Tisserant and invested in the Konstanz Minster on May 4, 1963 by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the Order.

Weigand had been a member of the Catholic student association AV Austria Innsbruck since 1925 .
