Directive 819

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The guideline 819 (Ril 819, LST systems plan ) is a guideline of the Deutsche Bahn AG and is aimed at planners of systems of control and safety technology for railway systems of federal railways (EdB).

Like all Deutsche Bahn guidelines, it is divided into modules and can be purchased from Deutsche Bahn. In terms of content, it is the successor to publication (DS) 818 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn and the corresponding regulations of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. As far as necessary, it differentiates between the area of DS 301 and DV 301 ( signal book ), but is otherwise valid and harmonized nationwide.

Deutsche Bahn railway systems are to be planned and checked on the basis of this guideline. Deviations from the guideline must be approved by the corporate headquarters. As recognized rules of technology, they are relevant to safety and are used as a basis for railway supervision by the Federal Railway Authority in accordance with Section 4 (1) of the General Railway Act (AEG) . In principle, however, the Federal Railway Authority can also instruct that safety must be increased and the existing planning guidelines must be changed.

There are rule drawings, defined symbols and numerous examples for the specific implementation. Parsons Brinckerhoff's ProSig software has been introduced as a mandatory software tool . In the long term, data should be exchanged electronically, including with manufacturers of LST systems and plan auditors.

For the guideline there are “Technische Mitteilungen Fahrweg” (TM Fahrweg), which process the latest findings after the guideline went to press, and supplement and adapt them. These can be found in the DB portal.
