Rick Flens (born April 11, 1983 ) is a former Dutch cyclist .

Career

Rick Flens started his career in 2003 with the Dutch cycling team Van Vliet-EBH-Gazelle . In his first year he won the OZ Wielerweekend . Two years later, he won again after a stage win. He also won the Ronde van Zuid-Holland . In 2006 he then moved to the Rabobank Continental Team . He won stage wins at the Olympia's Tour , the Ronde van Vlaams-Brabant and most recently at the Tour du Poitou-Charentes .

From the 2007 season, Flens started for the professional team at Rabobank . In the same year he won a stage of the Tour of Denmark , in 2010 he finished second in Kuurne – Brussels – Kuurne and in 2011 he and his team won the team time trial of the Tirreno – Adriatico race .

Flens competed four times in the Giro d'Italia , but was never able to place in the top 100.

At the end of 2015, Flens ended his cycling career.
