Rick Wohlhuter

Rick Wohlhuter (born December 23, 1948 in Geneva , Illinois ) is an American athlete who was successful over the middle distance in the 1970s .

Life

He achieved a world record several times and took part in two Olympic Games , in 1976 he qualified for both medium distances - 800 and 1500 meters. In the course of his career he ran the 800 meters twelve times in less than 1:45 minutes.

In 1974 he was named American Sportsman of the Year with the Sullivan Award .

The trained businessman now works as a financial advisor in Wheaton.
