Rico Anton

Rico Anton (born September 6, 1977 in Stollberg / Erzgeb. ) Is a German politician ( CDU ).

Profession and political honorary office

After graduating from high school, Anton completed a degree in administrative management (FH). In 2002 he joined the Bavarian civil service at the state building administration and was head of the road construction administration from 2007 to 2014, most recently as chief government inspector.

In 2004 he joined the CDU and the Junge Union . From 2009 to 2013 he was district chairman of the Junge Union Erzgebirge . Since 2013 he has been the district chairman of the Communal Political Association (KPV) Erzgebirge of the CDU and since 2014 deputy state chairman of this association. He has also been the local chairman of the CDU in the Oelsnitz-Lugau-Niederwürschnitz branch since 2014.

Electoral offices

In the municipal elections in Saxony in 2014 he was elected to the city ​​council of Oelsnitz on May 25 and in the state election in Saxony on August 31, 2014 with 41.6% of the votes as a direct candidate in constituency 13 (Erzgebirge 1) in the Saxon state parliament. There he is deputy chairman of the constitutional and legal committee and a member of the interior committee.

In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , he was again elected constituency member in the Erzgebirge 1 constituency with 36.8 percent of the direct votes. He is now active in the Committee on Home Affairs and Sport and in the Committee on Rules of Procedure and Immunity Matters and, as chairman, heads the Parliamentary Control Commission. He is also a member of the G10 commission and the data protection committee.
