The constituency of Erzgebirge 1 (constituency 13) is a state electoral district in Saxony . It includes the cities of Lugau , Oelsnitz / Erzgeb. , Stollberg / Erzgeb. , Thalheim / Erzgeb. and Zwönitz as well as the communities Auerbach , Burkhardtsdorf , Erlbach-Kirchberg , Gornsdorf , Hohndorf , Hormersdorf , Jahnsdorf / Erzgeb. , Neukirchen / Erzgeb. , Niederdorf and Niederwürschnitz and thus part of the Erzgebirgskreis . Between 1994 and 2009 the constituency existed under the name Wahlkreis Stollberg . In the last state election (in 2019), 58,937 residents were eligible to vote.
Constituency area
The constituency area around the cities of Stollberg, Thalheim and Lugau has remained largely unchanged since 1994. For the 2004 state election, Oelsnitz was added to the electoral area, and since 2014 the city of Zwönitz has been assigned to a different constituency. Precursor of the constituency Stollberg constituencies were Stollberg II - Chemnitz, Land II and Stollberg I .
