Klaus Jürgen Tischendorf (born July 20, 1962 in Lichtenstein ) is a German politician of the Die Linke party .

Life

Klaus Tischendorf attended the polytechnic high school up to the 10th grade . From 1981 to 1989 he was employed as a construction worker at VE BMK Süd in Zwickau. From 1990 he was the full-time district chairman of the FDJ and since 1991 has worked as a subject manager in the youth welfare office of the Stollberg district office. Tischendorf is a member of the ver.di regional board of Saxony-Anhalt / Thuringia and a deputy member of the board of directors of Sächsische Aufbaubank - Förderbank .

He is married and has one child.

Klaus Tischendorf joined the PDS in 1990 . In 1994/95 he was district chairman of his party in Stollberg and from 1995 to 1999 he was deputy chairman of the state association of Saxony.

At the municipal level, he was a member of the Stollberg district council from 1991 to 1994 . From 2004 to 2009 he was first deputy mayor of the city of Lugau and since 1994 chairman of the parliamentary group “Die LINKE” in the city council.

After the state elections , he entered the Saxon state parliament in October 1999 via the state list of the Saxon PDS . There he was a member of the committee for rules of procedure and immunity matters, the electoral review committee and the first committee of inquiry for the fourth electoral term on the Saxon Landesbank . From April 2002 until the state elections in 2009 , he was deputy chairman of his parliamentary group and also its tourism policy spokesman. In the 5th legislative period he was the parliamentary manager of his group. He has also served on the Budget and Finance Committee, the Election Review Committee, and the Rules of Procedure and Immunity Committee. He was also a member of the state parliament presidium and the emergency parliament. Since September 2014 he has been the union's spokesman for his group. In December 2014 he was elected Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee. He did not run for the 2019 state election .

In June 2008 he was a candidate of the Left Party in the district election in the Erzgebirge district , but could not prevail against Frank Vogel (CDU). From November 2011 to October 2017 he was chairman of the district association of his party in the Erzgebirgskreis. Since 2017 he has been chairman of the DGB district association in the Ore Mountains.
