The constituency of Leipzig 7 (constituency 33) is a state electoral district in Saxony . For the Saxon state election on August 31, 2014, there were changes in the state election districts. Since then, the constituency of Leipzig 3 has had constituency number 33. It is one of seven Leipzig state electoral districts and in the 2014 election included Seehausen , Wiederitzsch , Plaussig-Portitz , Thekla , Mockau , Schönefeld-Ost , Schönefeld-Abtnaundorf , Volkmarsdorf and Neustadt-Neuschönefeld . In the last state election in 2014, 57,706 residents were eligible to vote.
In the constituency of Leipzig 7, a repeat election for the direct mandate was held on January 22, 2006. The re- election became necessary due to a successful election review complaint by a PDS candidate before the Constitutional Court of the Free State of Saxony . In the regular state elections in 2004, the PDS nomination was not allowed for election, which is why the election of the direct applicant in the Leipzig 7 constituency was declared invalid.
