Daniel Gerber

Daniel Gerber (born December 16, 1985 in Bad Schlema ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and has been a member of the Saxon state parliament since 2019 .

Professional career and voluntary commitment

After graduating from the Johann-Gottfried-Herder -Gymnasium in Schneeberg in 2004, Gerber began studying computer science at the University of Leipzig , which he completed in 2011 as a Master of Science . He received his PhD in 2015 on the topic of Statistical Extraction of Multilingual Natural Language Patterns for RDF Predicates . Gerber has been working as technical director (CTO) at a Berlin start-up for geodata analysis since 2014, which deals with the analysis of existing and the simulation of planned road and rail networks.

Gerber became a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in 2017. From 2017 to 2018 he was the spokesman for the regional working group on Europe and International Affairs and has been the spokesman for the regional working group on media and network policy of Bündnis90 / Die Grünen in Saxony since 2018. In 2019, he was involved in the election campaign team of MEPs in the European Parliament Anna Cavazzini

Gerber is a member of the Young European Federalists .

Professional policy

In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , he ran in the constituency of Leipzig 7 and received 12.6% of the first votes, but entered the Saxon state parliament as a member of the Saxon state parliament over the tenth place on the list for the Greens. There he is active as a member of the Committee for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture, the Committee for Economy, Labor and Transport and the Data Protection Committee.
