Jefferson Ricardo da Silva , better known as Rico Dalasam , (born 1989 in Taboão da Serra , São Paulo , Brazil ) is a Brazilian singer , rapper , and producer.

Life

Dalasam is homosexual and sees himself as the only openly homosexual rapper on the Brazilian music scene. He sees himself as a representative of "Queer Rap". In his songs, among other things, he deals with the social attitude towards sexual minorities and regularly performs with them at Brazilian Prides .

Dalasam began writing verses at the age of twelve and took part in rap competitions at the age of 16. Dalasam wants his music to stand out from the more commercial pop music and also treat things apart from joy, friendship and other positive things.

The name Dalasam is an acronym for "Disponho Armas Libertárias a Sonhos Antes Mutilados" (German roughly: I set up liberating weapons on previously damaged dreams. )
