The Rifugio Schiazzera (full name Rifugio Alpe Schiazzera , German also Schiazzerahütte ) is an alpine refuge in the Italian region of Lombardy in the Livigno Alps .

The hut belonging to the municipality of Vervio is operated exclusively by volunteers from the Operazione Mato Grosso, similar to an Alpine Club hut, from June to September and has 42 beds.

Originally, the hut was used as a barracks for the Italian financial police in order to curb the once brisk smuggling into the nearby Swiss Poschiavo .

The rifugio is located on the eastern slope of Monte Masuccio in a panoramic position high above the Adda valley within the municipality of Vervio in Valtellina at an altitude of 2079  m slm . About 30 minutes away is Lake Schiazzera .
