Riki Christodoulou

Riki Christodoulou (born July 15, 1988 in Sutton Coldfield ) is a British racing driver . His cousin Adam is also a racing driver.

Career

Christodoulou began his motorsport career like most racing drivers in karting , in which he was active from 1996 to 2006. The Briton made his first experiences in formula racing in 2006 in the winter series of the British Formula Renault . After he finished fifth overall in 2006, he won the runner-up title in this series a year later. His main focus in 2007 was on the British Formula Renault, in which he finished sixth overall with a race win for Fortec Motorsport . He also started in some races in the French Formula Renault and in the North European Formula Renault, in which he won a race. In 2008 Christodoulou contested his second season in the British Formula Renault with Fortec Motorsport and improved to fifth overall with two wins.

In 2009 Christodoulou stayed at Fortec Motorsport and switched to the British Formula 3 championship . Already in his debut season at the Snetterton Motor Racing Circuit, he achieved his first victory in British Formula 3. With another three podium finishes, he finished fifth overall at the end of the season. In 2010 Christodoulou could not find a cockpit and returned to the British Formula Renault after a few races. He won the season finale and finished the season in eleventh place in the championship. In 2011 Christodoulou moved to Hitech Racing in the British Formula 3 Championship. However, he only took part in the first three events. He managed a victory. In the overall standings he was in twelfth place.
