Riki Gal

Riki Gal ( Hebrew , ריקי גל, real: Rebekka Ben-Menachem , born July 7, 1950 in Jerusalem ) is an Israeli singer.

Her career began in 1973 with the song Ha-shemesh hi ha'or shel ha-'olam (The sun is the light of the world) . As a result, she wrote several hits such as Jeled ra (bad boy) , Toda raba (thank you very much ) , Emet o hova (guilt or innocence) and Ahavat emet (true love) , with which she was present on television and radio . She often appeared at festivals and musicals. In 1979, 1980 and 1983 she took part in the Israeli qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest , but could not qualify. Her first record was not released until 1987. After that, she released several albums, some in rock style; the last one so far was The Best of Riki Gal from 2003.

Riki Gal was married to actor Yisrael Poliakov from 1971 to 1975 . She has an adopted daughter.
