Hudson Riley Hawk (born December 6, 1992 in Carlsbad , California ) is an American skateboarder . Unlike his famous father, Tony Hawk , who is known as the pioneer of the modern vert style , he is known as a street skateboarder. In 2013 he achieved professional status.

life and career

Riley Hawk was born on December 6, 1992, the eldest son of Tony Hawk and his first wife and high school sweetheart Cindy Dunbar, whom he married in April 1990, in the city of Carlsbad , California, and was aged about two years ago on the skateboard for the first time. In the presence of his father, he later learned to skateboard.

Initially active as an amateur skateboarder for years, he achieved professional status on his 21st birthday in December 2013 and was named Amateur of the Year by Skateboarder magazine that same year . A year earlier he had been recruited by his father for his skateboard deck company Baker Skateboards ; since then he has been sponsored by Baker, but also by Lakai Limited Footwear . Further sponsors are AYC, Indy, Spitfire, Psockadelic, Active Ride Shop.

In addition to his skateboard career, he is also active as a musician in the field of stoner rock . The member of the so-called Shep Dawgs has been seen several times in the video game series Tony Hawk's Skateboarding . In Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 he had his own playable character.

Since his childhood he has appeared on television again and again, at first mainly at the side of his father. As a child, he was also seen as a skateboarder in Max Keeble's big plan and later also appeared in one episode of Trailer Park Boys : Out of the Park (2017) or Loiter Squad (2013). In 2014 he took part in the X-Games in Austin , Texas, and in 2016 in Oslo , but remained without a medal.
