Rimantas Vaitkus
Rimantas Vaitkus (born October 1, 1957 in Plungė ) is a Lithuanian politician, Vice-Rector of the Vilniaus universitetas (VU).
Life
After graduating from high school in 1975 at the 3rd Plungė Middle School , he graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry in 1980 and obtained his doctorate in 1992 from VU in Vilnius . From 1992 to 1997 he taught at the Vilniaus pedagoginis universitetas , from 2001 to 2004 he was and since February 2013 he has been Deputy Minister of Education of Lithuania . From 2005 to 2008 he was Vice-Rector of Mykolo Romerio universitetas and since 2008 he has been Vice-Rector of VU.
From 1991 to 1995 he was a member of the Grigiškės Council , from 2000 to 2007 and from 2012 to 2013 he was a member of the Vilnius Municipality Council .
