The Rimekalvane (Norwegian for Frost calves are) a small group of Nunatakkern in East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Weyprecht Mountains of the Hoelfjella they rise 6 km east of the Dekefjellrantane . The Okskaya Nunatak belongs to the group .
They were discovered and mapped using aerial photographs during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also made the name, mapped it again using aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
