The Ringbahnbrücke Oberspree is a listed bridge of the Ringbahn in the Berlin district of Friedrichshain .
history
The Oberspree ring railway bridge over the Spree was initially built as a single track by an unknown architect between 1868 and 1870 . The new bridge was inaugurated in 1871. In this context, a street underpass for the Alt Stralau street with a separate pedestrian tunnel was built. The bridge was expanded to include two more passenger tracks in 1895/96, and between 1914 and 1921 it was expanded to include six tracks. On the Treptower side it is framed by a pylon and at the other end of the bridge by a signal box . The Ringbahnbrücke was partially destroyed in the Second World War and rebuilt in 1946. Another major overhaul of the bridge took place between 1990 and 1993. The bridge has been on the Berlin list of monuments since September 28, 1995.
