The BT-SV ( Russian Быстроходный Танк , Bystrochodni Tank , SV- Stalin - Voroschilow , German : fast moving tank) was a Soviet experimental tank from the 1930s from the BT series .

development

The BT-SV was developed in the Armored Vehicle Repair Base No. 12 (Kharkov Command) in 1937-1938. The BT-SV used parts and components of the BT-7. The hull was made of 10 to 12 mm structural steel plates that formed angled armor. The production vehicle should have 25 mm thick, homogeneous armored steel plates. Only two prototypes were made and successfully tested, but never put into service. The inclined armor was characteristic of the later A-20 and T-34 experimental tanks.
