The ring size measurement is a device and a measuring method for artisans who manufacture and sell jewelry rings from precious metals, such as jewelers and goldsmiths .

The ring width measurement takes place:
- for the ring with the ring stock , consisting of a conical metal mandrel , which is provided with ring-shaped marks and has a scale with ring numbers and diameter information. The ring stick is used in the workshop when making rings.
- are engraved on the finger with a ring hole size , consisting of a certain number of metal rings in different ring sizes in the usual widths of 40 to 72 (Viennese union size (circumference in mm)). The range of metal rings is kept in the sales rooms, where the required ring size of a finger on the customer can be measured. There are also simple perforated templates that are used in different sizes.
Depending on the precious metal used, the ring size can be expanded.
