Daniel Tomasella

Daniel Tomasella OFMCap (born July 18, 1923 in Conchas , † September 20, 2003 ) was a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Marília .

Life

Daniel Tomasella joined the religious order of the Capuchins and was ordained a priest on June 22, 1947 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on September 6, 1969 auxiliary bishop in Marília and titular bishop of Martirano . The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Umberto Mozzoni , donated him episcopal ordination on December 8 of the same year ; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Hugo Bressane de Araújo , Bishop of Marília, and Jorge Scarso OFMCap, Bishop of Patos de Minas .

The Pope appointed him coadjutor bishop of Marília on January 14, 1975 . When Hugo Bressane de Araújo retired on April 23, 1975, he succeeded him as Bishop of Marília. He resigned from his office on December 9, 1992.
