Bishop Osvaldo Giuntini

Osvaldo Giuntini (born October 24, 1936 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Marília .

Life

Osvaldo Giuntini was ordained a priest on December 8, 1963 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Tunnuna and auxiliary bishop in Marília on June 25, 1982 . He was ordained episcopate on August 12th of the same year by the Bishop of Jundiaí , Roberto Pinarello de Almeida ; Co- consecrators were Daniel Tomasella OFMCap , Bishop of Marília, and João Bergese , Bishop of Guarulhos .

On April 30, 1987, he was appointed coadjutor bishop of Marília. With the resignation of Daniel Tomasellas OFMCap on December 9, 1992, he succeeded him in the office of Bishop of Marília.

On May 8, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his resignation due to reasons of age.
