Reservoirs flowed through Guarapiranga reservoir

The Rio Guarapiranga is a river in the south of the Brazilian metropolis São Paulo in the state of the same name . Together with the Rio Grande it forms the Rio Pinheiros , a tributary of the Rio Tietê . Shortly before the confluence of the two rivers, the Rio Guarapiranga is dammed into the Guarapiranga Reservoir ( Represa de Guarapiranga ), one of the large drinking water reservoirs in the south of São Paulo.

On the lower reaches of the river there are some metal factories as well as residential areas of the lower middle class and the lower class.
