The Rio Pinheiros is a 25 km long river in the Brazilian state of São Paulo . It flows through the capital of the state of the same name.

The river is created by the confluence of the Rio Guarapiranga and the Rio Grande in the Zona Sul São Paulos and flows into the Rio Tietê in the northwest of the city .

For almost its entire length, it runs parallel to the Marginal Pinheiros city ​​motorway , which, together with the Marginal Tietê on the Rio Tietê, forms the main artery of the urban transport system. A bridge over the Rio Pinheiros that is important for road traffic is the Ponte Estaiada Octávio Frias de Oliveira .
