Ripley's Believe It Or Not! ( Eng. " Ripley's Believe it or Not! " or the German TV series " Ripley's Incredible World ") is an American franchise thatincludesnewspaper cartoons, comics, a TV series and several museums. It is mainly about curiosities , records and natural wonders.

"Ripley's Believe It or Not!" Was first published in 1918 by journalist Robert Ripley in the New York Globe . From 1933 onwards, so-called "Odditorien" (from English odd "strange", "strange", "strange") were built, starting in Chicago , in which replicas of bizarre-looking people, photos of the above-mentioned things or anomalous machines are shown. Among other things, Peter Kürten's mummified head can be seen here.
