With the Japanese U-17 national team , she qualified for the 2012 U-17 Women's World Cup .
Shimizu was appointed to the Japanese national team in 2018 and was used in the 2018 Algarve Cup . She was named to the 2018 Asian Women's Cup and Asian Games 2018 squad. She played a total of 19 international matches for Japan.
