Rischok or Rih (also Rizhok of Ukrainian Ріжок / Ріг, rižok / rih - "Horn") is a traditional woodwind instrument , which in the west of Ukraine , together with the natural trumpet Trembita in the Hutsul was widespread. It had between three and six finger holes (sometimes none). Mostly it was made from a cylindrical pipe with a cow horn as a bell. Thus it belongs to the horn pipes . Single reeds (more rarely double reeds ) were usually used as the mouthpiece .

Modern designs can have a body made of wood with seven finger holes, plastic is also used as the material for the leaf. The reed can be covered by a wooden wind capsule .
