The Ritari-areena is an ice rink in the Finnish town of Hämeenlinna . It was opened in 1979 and can seat 5,360 spectators. The Ritari-areena is the home ground of the Hämeenlinnan Pallokerho (HPK) ice hockey club . The ice arena was planned by the architect Heikki Aitola. In 2008 it was renovated and expanded. Of the 5,360 seats, 3,660 are seated and 1,700 are standing.
The Ritari areena was the main venue for the top division of the 2009 Women's Ice Hockey World Championship .
