The Ritterstraße 1 building is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The building is located on the north side of Ritterstrasse near its eastern end in Magdeburg's Neue Neustadt district .

Architecture and history

The two-storey plastered building was probably built in the early 1870s in the style of late classicism . The facade has six axes, with the two central axes being designed as a flat central risalit, which is crowned with a flat triangular gable. The triangular gable is decorated with a female head bust and foliage . There is an Akathus palmette frieze below a console cornice. Rustic plaster tape extends over the facade. The entrance is on the left axis.

The building is a relic of the Wilhelminian style, small-town development in the area.

In the local register of monuments , the building is listed as a residential building under registration number 094 82836.
