Riviera Ridge is a Scott Coast ridge of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is the more westerly of two sweeping and largely ice-free mountain ridges, which extend from Mount Morning in a northerly direction. At its northern end are Mount Hubbard and Lake Morning .
The name was given at the suggestion of the New Zealand geologist Anne C. Wright, who came across Mediterranean -looking weather conditions here between 1985 and 1986 , which contrasted with the extreme conditions on the nearby Hurricane Ridge .
