The Robert Oettel badge of honor , also called badge of honor of the breed poultry breeders , is named after Robert Oettel and was a uniform award of the Association of Allotment Gardeners, Settlers and Small Animal Breeders (VKSK) of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which comes in three stages, bronze , silver and Gold for special merits in the breeding of pedigree poultry and other small animals was awarded. The donation took place before 1952. The badge of honor shows within a laurel wreath an upside-down light green lacquered square , which extends beyond the laurel wreath at all four corner points. A smaller blue lacquered square is embedded in the square, which is also pointed with the tip down. The letters: RGZ (Rassegeflügelzucht) can be read in this square . The laurel wreath, the frame of the squares and the writing are in the color of the awarded level, bronze, silver or gold. The back of the badge of honor is smooth and shows a vertically soldered needle, which is twisted at its tip to find support in the fabric.
