Robert Cluck

Robert N. Cluck (born March 20, 1939 in Cisco , Texas ) is an American local politician. Since May 2003 he has been the mayor of the Texas city of Arlington .

Career

Cluck grew up in Cisco. He received his preclinical training at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas and then studied at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School . During the Vietnam War , he served two years in the US Air Force as first medical officer at Clark Air Base in the Philippines . From 1971 to 1994, Cluck was a gynecologist in Arlington. Since 2002, he has served as the vice president, medical, at Arlington Memorial Hospital .

He began his political career as a representative of Council District 4 in Arlington City Council , of which he served for two terms. In May 2003 he was elected Mayor of Arlington.
