Robert Copland (* 1515 in Westminster , † 1547 in London ) was an English printer and poet .
Life
Copland may have been an assistant to William Caxton - at least he was working for Wynkyn de Worde . He published several books and translated French chivalric romances. His most famous work "Hye way to the Spyttal house" (1536) contains a myriad of curious information about beggars and tramps.
