Robert Eden Scott

Robert Eden Scott (born April 23, 1808 in Warrenton , Fauquier County , Virginia , † May 3, 1862 in Fauquier County, Virginia) was an American politician from the 19th century.

He served in the Virginia House of Representatives from 1835 to 1842, and then again from 1845 to 1852 . He also represented Virginia in 1850 and 1851 at the state constitutional convention, and again in 1861 at its secession convention . He then worked from 1861 to 1862 as a delegate in the Provisional Confederate Congress .

Scott died in a battle with a gang of deserters from the Union Army in Fauquier County.
