Robert Edmund Froude
Robert Edmund Froude (born December 22, 1846 in Devonshire, † March 19, 1924 in Cambridge ) was a British shipbuilding engineer who worked primarily in the field of fluid mechanics .
For example, the Froude and Rankine theorem is named after RE Froude .
On June 7, 1894 he was made a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS).

RE Froude's family was very active scientifically. So is his father William Froude the Froude number back. His uncle James Anthony Froude was a historian.
